From Aldinga Beach we begun our northbound venture into the outback, via Barossa Valley and Roxby Downs to Coober Pedy, covering approximately 1100 km in three days. We wanted to get off the beaten track to William Creek, a town with a population of six. Our plan was to go from there to see Lake Eyre, Australia largest dried up salt lake. However, the weather gods denied us entry to Oodnadatta track and forced us back onto the highway.
